Capital Letters

Capital Letters

We use big, tall letters called capital letters at the start of sentences, for names of people or places, and when we say "I".

  • Sentence Start: Every time you start a new sentence, you start with a capital letter. Like this: "The cat sat on the mat."
  • Proper Nouns: Names of people, like "Charlie," or places, like "London," always need a capital letter.
  • The Pronoun 'I': Whenever you talk about yourself and say "I", make it big: "I love ice cream!"
